Our Roots & Future Growth

Where We Began

As an initial initiative, GB Medical Aid Trust has commenced its services for patients visiting Dr. G. Ramulu Chest & Diabetic Clinic (GR Hospitals).

2

Building the Foundation

A growing medical equipment bank, supported by healthcare providers, donors and pharmaceutical partners.

3

Reaching Further

Building on this strong foundation, the Trust aspires to gradually extend its reach to the wider public, supporting eligible individuals.

The Need

Why Respiratory Care?

  • Respiratory diseases such as COPD, Asthma, ILD, OSA (Obstructive Sleep Apnea), Bronchiectasis and Post Pulmonary Tuberculosis Lung Damage are increasingly common and often lead to chronic respiratory failure, significantly affecting the quality of life and morbidity.
  • After hospital discharge, many patients require ongoing respiratory rehabilitation, medical equipment support, and regular monitoring. However, due to financial constraints, such essential care is often inaccessible to economically disadvantaged patients.
  • With this vision, this Trust aims to provide Respiratory and essential medical aid with the following objectives:
Our Mission

Core Medical Objectives

1

The primary objective of the Trust is to provide essential medical equipment to poor and needy patients, free of cost for temporary use (for a period of 1 to 2 months or as required) to support treatment and to promote faster recovery.

2

To provide essential respiratory medical equipment on subsidized rental basis (approximately 40% to 50% lower than prevailing market rates) to patients with respiratory diseases, particularly in the post discharge period or during recovery stage from acute exacerbations, in order to support treatment and promote faster recovery.

3

To establish and operate a Respiratory Medical Equipment Bank for lending equipment.
